On May 25, Cincinnati Parks Foundation (CPF) will partner with Kimberly-Clark and the Arbor Day Foundation to plant 30 trees in the Roselawn Park in the Roselawn neighborhood of Cincinnati.

Cincinnati Parks Foundation is on a mission to help enhance and improve Cincinnati Parks in all regions of the city, ensuring that these urban parks remain green, beautiful, and accessible to everyone. CPF is working with the Arbor Day Foundation, the world’s largest membership nonprofit dedicated to planting trees.

Happy Birthday, Carol Ann Haile!

A birthday is always something to celebrate! And 100 years is a special milestone. This month, we’re celebrating the 100th birthday of Carol Ann Haile. The namesake of the carousel in the Anderson Pavilion at Smale Riverfront Park, Carol Ann, alongside her husband Ralph, had a tremendous love for Cincinnati, and their impact is everywhere in our city. Cincinnati Parks Foundation is thrilled to partner with the Haile Foundation and Carol Ann’s Carousel at the Andrson Pavilion at Smale Riverfront Park to plan a very special weekend for a special person on May 20-21.

Thursday, March 30th, is Take a Walk in a Park Day, an occasion dedicated to encouraging people to explore and appreciate the natural beauty of their local parks. The Cincinnati Parks Foundation obLITTERators is back at it again this year. We’re rolling up our sleeves and mobilizing our volunteers to keep our Cincinnati Parks clean. Become an obLITTERator and join us each month as we travel from park to park spending two hours picking up litter. Last year, we removed nearly 5,000 pounds of trash from our parks and greenspaces. Together with the team at Cincinnati Parks, our board of directors, our volunteers and YOU, we’re prepared to do even more.

As we recognize Black History Month, our current project to renovate the Sawyer Point outdoor roller rink, which, once completed, will be one of the largest outdoor rinks in the country, has more meaning. Roller rinks have long been a place for entertainment and socialization and a place for Black artists and musicians to perform and showcase their talents. The love of roller skating is passed down through generations.
