Join us for a restorative midday walk that blends movement, fresh air, and meaningful connection. Our Nature as Medicine Walking Group invites you to step away from the day and into nature—using walking as a simple, evidence-based practice to support physical and mental wellbeing.
Led by Nature as Medicine leaders Barbara Walker, PhD, and Kelly Lyle, MHA, MS, this weekly, 1-mile accessible walk supports physical activity, stress reduction, and mental clarity during the workday.
When: Weekly on Tuesdays from12:15-12:45 p.m.
Where: Meeting/Starting Location: Lobby by BlaCk Coffee in the Blood Cancer Healing Center (3232 Healing Way, Cincinnati, OH 45229) with free, on-site parking available in the attached garage. Bus stop (lines 51, 46, 36) available in front of the building (3229 Burnet Ave, Cincinnati OH 45229).
What: A one-mile walk (all abilities welcome). No special equipment or prior experience needed - just comfortable shoes and curiosity. Come as you are and experience how time in nature can be powerful medicine. We’ll spend about 30 minutes walking at a relaxed pace, creating space not only for gentle movement and fresh air, but also for connection. This walk is intentionally designed as a time to nurture well-being together – to move, slow down, share conversation, strengthen community, and remember that caring for ourselves and each other can be simple, restorative, and meaningful.

Join us for a restorative midday walk that blends movement, fresh air, and meaningful connection. Our Nature as Medicine Walking Group invites you to step away from the day and into nature—using walking as a simple, evidence-based practice to support physical and mental wellbeing.
Led by Nature as Medicine leaders Barbara Walker, PhD, and Kelly Lyle, MHA, MS, this weekly, 1-mile accessible walk supports physical activity, stress reduction, and mental clarity during the workday.
When: Weekly on Tuesdays from12:15-12:45 p.m.
Where: Meeting/Starting Location: Lobby by BlaCk Coffee in the Blood Cancer Healing Center (3232 Healing Way, Cincinnati, OH 45229) with free, on-site parking available in the attached garage. Bus stop (lines 51, 46, 36) available in front of the building (3229 Burnet Ave, Cincinnati OH 45229).
What: A one-mile walk (all abilities welcome). No special equipment or prior experience needed - just comfortable shoes and curiosity. Come as you are and experience how time in nature can be powerful medicine. We’ll spend about 30 minutes walking at a relaxed pace, creating space not only for gentle movement and fresh air, but also for connection. Join Skate Downtown Cincy for a Jersey Skate Workshop. Do you love Jersey House music? Are you an intermediate skater looking to add some style to your movement? Join skate instructor David Chambers as he leads a workshop on Jersey style skating to introduce you to some new steps, skills and drills to get you started. Recommended for skaters who have mastered forward and backwards transition, as pivots are foundational to this style.

Led by Nature as Medicine leaders Barbara Walker, PhD, and Kelly Lyle, MHA, MS, this weekly, 1-mile accessible walk supports physical activity, stress reduction, and mental clarity during the workday.

This Well-being Walk is hosted by the Osher Center for Integrative Health at the University of Cincinnati, a community partner who shares in the mission of Cincinnati Parks + Rec for Wellness, connecting people to nature, movement and community through outdoor experiences across our city.
