Summer Solstice Yoga

Sunday, June 19, 3-5 pm
Location:  Burnet Woods Bandstand

Let the Sunshine in, Let your Light Shine…June 20 is Summer Solstice, the longest day of the year; the day where the sun has its highest position in the sky. It is the first official day of summer in the Northern Hemisphere. During this yoga practice we will embrace the solar energy pouring down upon the earth and salute the sun that vitalizes and strengthens us. We will revel in the light provided by the sun and the light we create through our yoga practice together. Summer Solstice is a time to reflect on the growth of the season. Seeds planted in the earth as well as the spiritual seeds of our souls. It is a time of cleansing and renewal, joy, love and growth.

Please join us for: Live music, guided sun salutations and yoga postures, and guided Yoga Nidra Meditation

Fall Equinox Yoga

Sunday, September 18, 1-3pm
Location:  Burnet Woods Bandstand

The fall equinox is a time where the energies of light and dark are held in balance, as the equinox is the day when the length of day and night are perfectly equal. It is a wonderful time of year to contemplate balance and how you may bring more balance to your life. Consider areas of your life where you intuitively feel out of balance and ways you may bring yourself back to center. Balance of movement and stillness, giving and receiving, creating and allowing, doing and not doing, and so on.

Please join us for: Balancing breathing and meditation, balancing posture sequence, balancing yoga nidra

Winter Solstice Yoga

Sunday, December 18, 4 pm

NOTE:  Online event that will be filmed at Trailside Nature Center.

The Winter Solstice is a deeply significant time recognized by nearly every culture to reflect on the days that have passed and the return of the light. In the Northern Hemisphere, the Winter Solstice mark the shortest day (light) and longest night (dark) of the year. It is symbolic of the moon giving birth to the sun…and an opportunity to let go of the baggage (stress, tension, worry, doubt, darkness) we carry and return to our most authentic true self (light). The Winter Solstice offers a quiet energy that allows for looking more deeply within to examine and let go of the past and move with ease into the future. It’s a wonderful time to set intentions and affirmations for the year ahead.

In honor of this special time of year, please join us ONLINE from Trailside for: intention setting, meditation, honoring the light via sun salutations, honoring the light via moon salutations, yoga nidra, and live music
