Join Us for a Joyous Community Sing-Along to “Good Day Sunshine” on Sunday, June 16th at 9 AM
The Cincinnati Parks Foundation, Cincinnati Parks and Moerlein Lager House are thrilled to invite all Cincinnatians to a special community event at Smale Riverfront Park on Sunday, June 16th at 9 AM. In honor of Sir Paul McCartney’s birthday, Cincinnatians will gather to sing his iconic song “Good Day Sunshine.” This event is a celebration of his incredible contributions to music and a heartfelt invitation for him to visit our city for the Cincinnati Opera’s upcoming world stage premiere of Paul McCartney’s Liverpool Oratorio.
Sir Paul McCartney last graced the Queen City with his presence in 2016, at the US Bank Arena during his spectacular “One on One” tour. This performance marked his return to our city after five years, and the concert was a magical evening that left fans with unforgettable memories. With his timeless music continuing to inspire and bring joy, we aim to rekindle that magic and show Paul how much Cincinnati loves him.
Imagine the excitement of welcoming Paul McCartney back to Cincinnati, this time for the Cincinnati Opera! By gathering in song and celebration, we hope to create an invitation that he can’t resist. Whether you’re a lifelong fan or new to his music, this is an event for everyone to enjoy.

Participants are encouraged to arrive early and bring their friends and family. The event will be a fun-filled morning, enhanced by the beautiful backdrop of the Roebling Bridge at Smale Park. We also invite attendees to share their photos and videos on social media using the hashtag #GetPaultoMusicHall to spread the word and amplify our invitation. The first 50 people to attend will receive a free ticket to the Butterfly Show at the Krohn Conservatory, courtesy of Cincinnati Parks. Moerlein Lager House will give all attendees gift certificates for a discount at the restaurant.
