Women’s Committee Members Plant Hundreds of Pollinators

This week, Cincinnati Parks Foundation Women’s Committee members volunteered with Cincinnati Parks’ Greenspace team at the Smale Anniversary Garden located at Butler and 5th Street. This is urban garden is at the epicenter of the highway exchange and is a gift to the City of Cincinnati from Phyllis and John Smale on the occasion of their 50th wedding anniversary.

Over the course of the morning, volunteers and staff planted over 800 new plants including hardy perennials and shrubs. Plants were chosen carefully by Cincinnati Parks staff that will attract many pollinators and require little care to thrive.
