One of the Cincinnati Parks Foundation’s core pillars is activation. Parks are safer and the community is healthier when their neighborhood parks are programmed with FREE activities. This is why we are proud to partner with yoga studios, musicians, and other non-profits in Cincinnati to bring FREE family-friendly programs to you! This year, in a partnership with Cincinnati Parks and local community councils, we are proud to sponsor Free Family Fun Days across the city at Smale Riverfront Park, Owl’s Nest Park, Laurel Park, and MLK Jr. Park.
The series of free Family Fun Days for MLK Jr. Park in Avondale kicked off this month with a huge Juneteenth celebration. More than 100 people filled the park to enjoy:
- a presence from the Avondale Community Council
- children’s activities
- face painting
- inflatable games
- soulful music by the Positive Vibe Band
The next MLK Jr. Park Family Fun Days are on July 16 and August 20 from 2-6pm. See the other Family Fun Days on our Free Neighborhood Programs page.
