Stereo ’24, Cincinnati’s Largest DJ Festival, Kicks Off Summer Season in Cincinnati Parks
with Music, Roller Skating, Yoga, Dancing, Vendors and More
The Cincinnati Parks Foundation announces the return of Cincinnati’s largest DJ Festival, Stereo ’24, from 10:00 am to 10:00 pm on Saturday, June 1, at Sawyer Point. This event kicks off the 2024 Sawyer Point Summer Music series and the Riverfront Rink outdoor roller skating season with a celebration of music and community–all open to the public and free to attend.
Sawyer Point will transform into a dynamic hub of beats and melodies with some of the region’s best DJs at the Procter & Gamble/Kroger stage. The event is the brainchild of Cincinnati firefighter/paramedic Kenyatta Smith, also known as DJ Vader, a two-time winner of Cincinnati’s Best DJ Competition and radio personality for Urban Radio One, who will organize a diverse lineup of more than 50 DJs to fill the park with music. Visit djvmixx.com for more information on DJ Vader.
The Sawyer Point Riverfront Roller Rink will also open for free skating sessions, workshops, and a skating soundtrack by the Shuffle King, DJ Ivory who is traveling to Cincinnati from Cleveland to headline the skating kick-off, and local skating favorite, DJ Dior. Q-Kidz and Dance Fix will also perform at the rink.
At the Schott Amphitheater, through a collaboration with the Osher Center for Integrative Health at the University of Cincinnati, festival attendees will experience the wellness benefits of spending time in Cincinnati Parks with sound immersion, yoga, and Tai Chi, culminating with a running/dancing activity with Victoria Morgan, former artistic director with the Cincinnati Ballet. Signage through Sawyer Point will allow visitors to participate in mindfulness exercises throughout the day.
Live DJ music will soundtrack activities at the Sawyer Point Pickleball and Volleyball courts. Stereo ’24 will also include free interactive family activities and vendors, with food and beverages available for purchase.
“We’re excited to bring the DJ Festival to Sawyer Point this year. It’s a fantastic opportunity for the community to come together, enjoy great music, and celebrate our beautiful city,” said Jennifer Hafner-Spieser, President and CEO of Cincinnati Parks Foundation. This event showcases the incredible talent of area DJs, skaters, and other artists and helps fulfill our mission of building community within Cincinnati Parks.”
“DJ culture has a long and storied history in Cincinnati, and we’re proud to celebrate some of Cincinnati’s best DJs in Sawyer Point this summer. This event is another great example of the unique array of events that you will find throughout our world-class parks system.
