As part of our Neighborhood Parks Campaign, we will be building a new playground in Inwood Park among other improvements. We invited local children from the surrounding community to participate in the playground design process.
Students from the Rising Stars Academy joined us for a design charrette where they described what their dream playground would look like. The children did a variety of activities including drawing playground ideas and participating in open discussion. Lastly, the children were allowed three stickers and shown a variety of existing playgrounds. They then placed their stickers on the images as a “vote” for their favorite designs. Cincinnati Parks Planning and Design team will use the children’s ideas to design a playground that’s perfect for the community!
