A Market with a Mission

On May 3 from 10 AM to 3 PM, the very first Owl’s Nest Market opens in Owl’s Nest Park. Created by local maker and park enthusiast Caroline Evelo, the market will feature handmade goods, vintage finds, sweet treats and much more—all in support of this beloved neighborhood park.
At the heart of the event is a mission: to bring community and energy into this neighborhood park through park improvements and community events.
A Market Born from a Love of Owl’s Nest Park

Caroline Evelo, founder of Boom & Popp Designs, is known for her vibrant polymer clay jewelry—and for her passion for Cincinnati Parks.
“I walk through Owl’s Nest every day with my dogs Boom and Popp,” Caroline shared. “Tucked between three neighborhoods, Owl’s Nest Park is beautiful and full of potential. The market is a way to invite more people to experience it in new, exciting way. I wanted to bring more people here and build awareness for the park and all it could be.”
With that vision, the Owl’s Nest Market was born—a local vendor market that highlights Cincinnati-area artisans, makers, bakers, jewelers and more.
What to Expect at Owl’s Nest Market
Visitors can browse a colorful mix of booths featuring handmade and permanent jewelry, vintage clothing and antiques, apparel, fresh bakes, honey, hot sauces, candles and more. It’s a celebration of creativity and community, all tucked into a neighborhood park.
More Than a Market
Owl’s Nest Park sits at the crossroads of three neighborhoods—East Walnut Hills, Evanston and O’Bryonville—making it the perfect location for a walkable, weekend market. Caroline dreams that this single-day event is the beginning of something bigger.
“I’d love for this to grow into a market series,” she said. “Something people look forward to—a true neighborhood tradition.”

The community has already responded with overwhelming excitement. And for Caroline, it’s about more than shopping: it’s about sparking joy, building community and raising awareness of the park and the ongoing Owl’s Nest 2.0 fundraising campaign.
Supporting Parks Through Participation
Every vendor fee from Owl’s Nest Market will go directly toward supporting Owl’s Nest Park and its revitalization efforts through Cincinnati Parks Foundation’s Owl’s Nest 2.0 campaign.
Funds raised will contribute to vital updates and improvements such as the pavilion renovation, landscaping, accessible pathways and new gathering spaces that help make the park more welcoming and inclusive for all.
“The more people that come and participate,” Caroline said, “the more we can do for the park.”
