Who We Are

Our Mission

Cincinnati Parks Foundation is committed to building broad-based private/public partnerships supporting the conservation and enhancement of our city’s parks and greenspaces through education, advocacy and fundraising.

Our History

Cincinnati Parks Foundation, the official philanthropic partner of Cincinnati Parks, enriches Cincinnati’s top-rated urban parks and programs through the support of private citizens, park lovers, stewards of nature, history enthusiasts and conservationists. Incorporated in 1995, the Foundation grew out of a legacy park advocacy that began over a century ago, when ordinary citizens took action to establish and protect our local parks.

Today, Cincinnati Parks carries on the tradition of park advocates, big thinkers, doers and dreamers—from Mary & Levi Addison Ault, Julius Fleischmann and Irwin M. Krohn, to Phyllis & John Smale.

Our Work

Cincinnati Parks Foundation directly supports Cincinnati’s top-rated urban parks system by pursuing three areas of focus:

CONSERVING & ENHANCING Cincinnati’s parks and greenspaces through critical advocacy efforts

CONNECTING you with your incomparable urban parks, nature centers and preserves, rich history and the transformative community work of Cincinnati Parks

INSPIRING lifelong passion for and engagement with the next generation of park stewards
